There are some basic steps to take when looking after your hair to achieve a better result. It can help style your hair and maintain healthy, soft and smooth hair. Some of these steps are common, and most probably already doing it regularly. However, it's always ideal for getting an expert’s advice on it to outline everything.
Step one: Always shampoo your hair twice. The first shampoo is done to cleanse your hair and the second shampoo allows the shampoo’s ingredients to get inside your hair to become active and reap its benefits.
Step two: Always use a conditioner after each wash. Use a wide comb to brush the conditioner in your hair. Doing this will aid in brushing your hair after being dried and avoid creating more damage to your hair. Conditioner helps add moisture back to your hair to keep it smooth.
Step three: Treatment, Treatment, Treatment. Most people often forget this step, yet it’s the most beneficial for your hair. A concentrated mask can be used once a week to keep your hair hydrated and nourished. Leave it on for 5 minutes and ensure you massage it thoroughly throughout your hair and scalp. Rinse and style it how you wish.
Step four: Avoid towel drying and use a heat protector before blow-drying it. Towel dry can cause damage to your hair. Instead, use a heat protecting serums and blow dry it or let it dry naturally.
Step five: Use a serum to lock in the moisture in your hair. If your hair is frizzy, use an anti-frizz serum to put back its natural moisture into your hair.
